Here's a super fun vintage pattern, McCall's 6942 c.1963, that included patterns for 3 stuffed toys, 20 appliques for felt or fabric, plus directions for making a child's crib quilt, pocket apron and washcloth baby bib. The applique patterns have been reprinted as hot-iron transfers and are offered on the site under APPLIQUE ANIMAL QUILT 6942. The apron and bib patterns are free downloads. (Patterns for the stuffed animals aren't available however.)
