Mini Stuffed Pumpkins |
| Directions Print and cut out the patterns. Cut six sections for each pumpkin from felt. If using fabric, cut them on the lengthwise or crosswise grain to avoid twisting. Use 1/4" seam allowances. Join two pumpkin sections, wrong sides together, on one edge. Secure the ends. Continue in the same manner for the remaining sections until all are joined. |
| Turn pumpkin right-side out. Stuff with wool roving or poly. Push the stuffing out to the sides to get the shape and firmness you want. Use button-hole type or other strong thread and do a running stitch with fairly large stitches, around the top; pull up gathers and tie off. Cut out the felt shapes for top and bottom. Make a hole in one for the stem. Use fabric tac glue to attach, covering the openings and stitches. Stem: Raffia covered wire; wrap it around a pencil to get a curled effect and poke it through the hole at top. Use a little fabric tac glue to hold it. |
